The dua when boarding a vehicle is: 'Bismillah. Subhanal-ladhi sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrinin, wa inna ila Rabbina lamunqalibun.' It means: In the name of Allah. Glory be to Him Who subjected this for us, and we were not capable of it, and to our Lord we shall return.
Bismillah. Subhanal-ladhi sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrinin, wa inna ila Rabbina lamunqalibun.
Meaning: In the name of Allah. Glory be to Him Who has subjected this for us, and we were not capable of controlling it. And indeed, to our Lord we shall return.
Source: Az-Zukhruf (43:13)This Quranic dua (43:13-14) was the regular practice of the Prophet (peace be upon him) whenever he mounted any riding animal. It acknowledges that all modes of transport are blessings from Allah, subjected to our use by His power alone. Anas reported that the Prophet would say 'Bismillah' when mounting, then recite this verse, then praise Allah. (Sunan al-Tirmidhi 3446)
سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ
Glory be to Him Who has subjected this for us, and we were not capable of controlling it.
