اللَّهُمَّ صَيِّبًا نَافِعًا
When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saw rain, he would say: 'Allahumma sayyiban nafi'an' — O Allah, make it a beneficial rain.
When it rains, the Prophet would say: 'Allahumma sayyiban nafi'an' — O Allah, make it a beneficial rain. Rain is a time when dua is accepted, so pilgrims should use this moment to make heartfelt supplications during any rainfall in Makkah or Madinah.
اللَّهُمَّ صَيِّبًا نَافِعًا
Allahumma sayyiban nafi'an.
Meaning: O Allah, make it a beneficial rain.
Source: Sahih al-Bukhari #1032Rain is a mercy from Allah, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) identified it as a time when dua is accepted. He said: 'Two (duas) are not rejected: dua at the time of the adhan, and dua at the time of rain' (al-Hakim, sahih). Scholars recommend exposing part of one's body to the rain, as the Prophet did, saying it has just come from its Lord.
