How do I stay safe in massive Hajj crowds?

Never fight against crowd flow direction. If caught in a dense moving crowd, move with it and gradually work toward the edges. Maintain a stable stance with feet shoulder-width apart and arms near your chest to create breathing space.

Avoid the most congested areas during peak times: the ground floor Mataf, the Jamarat bridge during stoning hours, and Haram entrances during prayer times. If the crowd feels dangerously dense, move sideways toward the edge. If you fall, try to get up immediately.

Establish clear meeting points with your group. Carry your phone and hotel card at all times. Follow Saudi crowd management personnel wearing green or orange vests. Familiarize yourself with emergency exits at every location. Use upper floors for less crowded alternatives.
