On the 12th of Dhul Hijjah, pilgrims stone all three Jamarat after Dhuhr (same as the 11th). Those who wish to leave early (ta'ajjul) may depart Mina before sunset without needing to stone on the 13th. Before leaving Makkah, every pilgrim must perform Tawaf al-Wida (farewell tawaf).
Pray Fajr in Mina and prepare 21 pebbles for stoning the three Jamarat. Continue reciting the takbirat of Tashreeq after every obligatory prayer. Make the intention for whether you will depart today (ta'ajjul) or stay for the optional 13th day of stoning. If you intend to leave today, ensure your belongings are packed so you can depart Mina promptly after stoning, before sunset.
After the sun passes its zenith (Dhuhr time), proceed to the Jamarat complex. Stone all three pillars in the same order as yesterday: (1) Jamarat al-Sughra (small) — 7 pebbles, then stand and make dua facing Qiblah; (2) Jamarat al-Wusta (medium) — 7 pebbles, then stand and make dua facing Qiblah; (3) Jamarat al-Aqabah (large) — 7 pebbles, then depart without stopping for dua. Say 'Bismillah, Allahu Akbar' with each pebble thrown.
These are the most frequent errors pilgrims make during this stage of Hajj.

After stoning, you have a choice sanctioned by the Quran (Al-Baqarah 2:203). Option A (Ta'ajjul / Hastening): Leave Mina before sunset on the 12th. You will NOT need to stone on the 13th. Head directly to Makkah for Tawaf al-Wida. Option B (Staying): Remain in Mina for the night of the 13th and stone all three Jamarat one final time the next day. Staying is considered more virtuous by many scholars, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) stayed for the 13th.
Before leaving Makkah, every pilgrim must perform Tawaf al-Wida (the farewell tawaf). This is 7 circuits around the Ka'bah, performed in the same manner as any tawaf — beginning from the Black Stone corner, keeping the Ka'bah on your left. There is no Raml (jogging) or Idtiba' (baring the right shoulder) in Tawaf al-Wida. There is no Sa'i after this tawaf. After completing the circuits, pray 2 rak'at behind Maqam Ibrahim if possible, drink Zamzam water, and make your final duas.
After completing Tawaf al-Wida and praying behind Maqam Ibrahim, take a final look at the Ka'bah and make your most heartfelt duas. Ask Allah to accept your Hajj, forgive your sins, and grant you the opportunity to return. Depart the Masjid walking backward or looking back at the Ka'bah as long as you can see it, as was the practice of some of the Salaf. Leave Makkah with a heart full of gratitude, resolved to maintain the spiritual transformation of Hajj in your daily life.
While not a rite of Hajj, visiting the Prophet's Mosque (Al-Masjid al-Nabawi) in Madinah is highly recommended. Many pilgrims visit before or after Hajj. Pray in the Prophet's Mosque, visit the Rawdah, send salutations upon the Prophet (peace be upon him) at his grave, and visit the graveyard of Baqi'. The visit to Madinah is a separate act of worship and has no connection to the validity of Hajj.
