Is it permissible to fund Hajj with money from interest (riba)?

It is not permissible to intentionally earn interest and then use it for Hajj. Interest (riba) is among the most severely prohibited matters in Islam. Allah says: 'Allah has permitted trade and forbidden interest' (Al-Baqarah 2:275). However, if a person has already received interest without seeking it (such as from a conventional bank account), scholars advise donating it to the poor rather than using it for personal benefit. Sheikh Ibn Baz stated: 'Hajj must be funded from lawful (halal) earnings. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Allah is pure and accepts only what is pure (Sahih Muslim 1015).'
