A woman in the state of nifas (post-partum bleeding) can perform all the rites of Hajj except tawaf around the Ka'bah and prayer. She enters ihram, stands at Arafat, stays at Muzdalifah, stones the Jamarat, and performs all other rites. She only delays her tawaf until her bleeding stops and she performs ghusl. This is based on the hadith of Aisha about Asma bint Umays who gave birth at Dhul Hulayfah during the Farewell Hajj: 'The Prophet (peace be upon him) commanded her to perform ghusl, enter ihram, and do all the rites except tawaf around the House until she was pure' (Sahih Muslim 1209). Sheikh Ibn Baz stated: 'The ruling on nifas is the same as menstruation with regard to Hajj: she does everything except tawaf and prayer in the mosque' (Fatawa Ibn Baz, vol. 16).
