হজ্জ Ifrad(حَجّ الإِفْرَاد) হজ্জ Ifrad (single/isolated হজ্জ) is a type of হজ্জ where the হাজী performs হজ্জ alone without combining it with উমরাহ. No ওয়াজিব sacrifice is required, though voluntary sacrifice is মুস্তাহাব.
حَجّ الإِفْرَاد
In হজ্জ Ifrad, the হাজী enters ইহরাম at the Miqat with the intention of হজ্জ only, saying 'Labbayk Allahumma Hajjan' (Here I am, O Allah, for হজ্জ). They remain in ইহরাম and proceed to perform all the হজ্জ rites: তাওয়াফ al-Qudum (upon arrival, Sunnah), standing at আরাফাত, staying at মুযদালিফা, stoning the জামারাত, Halq/Taqsir, তাওয়াফ al-Ifadah, সাঈ, and তাওয়াফ al-Wida. Since the হাজী is performing হজ্জ in isolation without combining উমরাহ, no Hady (thanksgiving sacrifice) is required, though offering a voluntary sacrifice is মুস্তাহাব. The Shafi'i and Hanbali schools consider Ifrad to be the simplest type of হজ্জ. It is commonly performed by residents of মক্কা মুকাররমা and those living within the Miqat boundaries, as they can perform উমরাহ separately at any time throughout the year. Some scholars, particularly from the Hanafi and Maliki schools, consider Ifrad to be the most virtuous type because the হাজী dedicates separate journeys to হজ্জ and উমরাহ. However, other scholars favor Tamattu based on নবী করীম's recommendation to his companions.
