Nafr Thani(النَّفْر الثَّانِي) Nafr Thani (second departure) is the option to remain in মিনা and depart on the 13th of Dhul Hijjah after completing all three days of stoning. It is considered the more virtuous choice.
النَّفْر الثَّانِي
Nafr Thani involves staying in মিনা for the full three Days of Tashreeq (11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul Hijjah) and completing the stoning ritual at all three জামারাত on each day. This was the practice of নবী করীম Muhammad (সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম) during his Farewell Pilgrimage, making it the preferred option. While আল-কুরআন explicitly states there is no sin in either the early or late departure, scholars agree that staying for the third day carries greater reward. On the 13th, after completing the final stoning, হাজীগণ depart মিনা for the last time. The stoning on the 13th follows the same sequence as the previous days: small, middle, then large Jamrah, with seven pebbles at each. After leaving মিনা, হাজীগণ proceed to মক্কা মুকাররমা for তাওয়াফ al-Wida before departing the holy city. The 13th of Dhul Hijjah marks the absolute conclusion of the হজ্জ rites.
