رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.
The most well-known dua for tawaf is recited between Rukn Yamani and the Black Stone: 'Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan waqina adhaban-nar' (Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire). This is from Surah Al-Baqarah 2:201 and was regularly recited by the Prophet (peace be upon him) during tawaf.
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan waqina adhaban-nar
Meaning: Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.
Source: Sunan Abu Dawud #0This comprehensive dua asks Allah for the best of both worlds — well-being, provision, and blessings in this life and salvation, Paradise, and closeness to Allah in the Hereafter. The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to frequently recite this supplication, and Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that it was among the most common duas of the Prophet. Imam al-Nawawi noted that this dua encompasses all goodness and wards off all evil. Shaykh Ibn Baz said that during tawaf, the pilgrim should occupy themselves with dhikr, dua, and recitation of the Quran, and this dua is among the best to recite.
